How do I get my refrigerator shelves clean where the glass meets the white edging?

I have a GE Profile refrig with white edging front and back of each glass shelf. It looks like where the edging meets the glass has discolored or this is gunk I can not remove. How do I get that clean? Any ideas other than replacing shelves?

I haven’t had this prob. yet as we just moved and got a new GE fridge ourselves with the same shelving, but a scrub brush comes to mind, maybe? Hopefully the bristles can get into the hard to reach places and make it look new again! Good luck!
